but those who hope in the Lord

writing challenge day #29 – the Lords promises

The full scripture from the book of Isaiah says … “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31

What a promise…first he starts out almost challenging us … “Do you not know? Have you not heard?” Like hello??? What’s taking you so long to catch on here or remember that God is the Lord everlasting, he never grows tired or weary – even young men grow weary but our Lord never does, and in fact he increases the power of the weak , he’s that strong. But all we need to do to renew our strength is not do more lifting … Read more scripture … Attend church more regularly…all those things are great and amazing and awesome but all the Lord needs us to do in order to renew our strength is HOPE in HIM! Hope in the Lord. Those who hope in him, “will run and not grow weary, they will soar on wings like eagles, they will walk and not be faint.” Hope is all we need, like we have talked about before a fleck of faith, a glimmer of hope, that is all the Lord needs to keep working in us.

Psalm 62:5 – ” Yes, my soul, finds rest in God. My hope comes from Him alone. ”

I wanted to share psalm 25 with you – written by David as almost a prayer to the Lord, asking for protection and proclaiming trust and hope, promises of the Lord.

One song to share – I think it was written based on Psalm 25 … Hope you enjoy it! I am so thankful that with the Lord we have hope.
